Events
Events play an important role here at the Community Cycling Center. They help us raise money and awareness and build our community.
Holiday Bike Drive: Every year, we provide bicycles, helmets and bike safety education at a huge holiday party for hundreds of children from low-income families. Over 2,000 volunteers help make this huge event the best it can be. The Holiday Bike Drive happens every December and is open to children ages 3-9 who are enrolled by a school, church or family service agency.
Hottest Day of the Year Ride: When the sun shines we ride, too! This 15-mile and 40-mile fun ride is a benefit for the Community Cycling Center. The ride begins and ends at the new NW Lucky Lab on Quimby. Join us for an ice cream social, a CCC rest stop and the city’s largest water fight. Register at HottestDayRide.com.
Worst Day of the Year Ride: If it’s cold, windy and raining, we say KEEP RIDING! Join us the second weekend in February for this 18-mile urban adventure. There is also an optional 40-mile ride through the West Hills for the more ambitious cyclist. Have fun, be creative, and get exercise all in one ride. With yummy rest stops along the way and piping hot chili and cornbread at the finish line, this ride is not to be missed! Register at WorstDayRide.com.
