News release: Transportation Trivia Night – Third Time’s a Charm

Radio Room to host benefit for the Community Cycling Center

August 19, 2013 – Portland, Ore. –  Have you measured the miles of sidewalks, bike lanes, and streetcar tracks in the Portland Metro area? Start studying now for the third installment of Transportation Trivia Night, a benefit for the nonprofit, Community Cycling Center. Radio Room will host the event on Wednesday, August 28th, from 7pm – 10pm.

If you haven’t attended before, get ready for a night filled with exceptionally wonky trivia, rowdy transportation advocates, and the chance to support the Community Cycling Center. The event will once again be hosted by everyone’s favorite traffic engineer, Peter Koonce.

This time there are a few extra incentives, like a Transportation Trivia Night Championship trophy for the winning team. If your team is lucky enough to be named the champions, your entry fee will be covered at the next event for the chance to win it all again.

The winners of each round will receive gift cards from restaurants and shops on NE Alberta Street, including Barista, Halo Thai, Radio Room, Bollywood Theater and more. The team with the best name will receive a gift bag from Bikeasaurus and a Nike Fuel Band will be offered as a door prize. Each player will receive a pint of Alberta St. Pale Ale from Mash Tun Brewpub.

Local engineering firm Kittelson & Associates is sponsoring the event and the Radio Room is donating 10% of the proceeds to the Community Cycling Center, in addition to 100% of the entry fees. The support and involvement of the local community is truly what makes this event such a success.
