News Release: The Community Cycling Center Celebrates New Workshop Space with a Spring Fundraising Party

Celebration includes Russell Street Bar-B-Que, Hopworks, Metrofiets, a bike museum, and more

May 20, 2013 – Portland, Ore. – The Community Cycling Center is celebrating their new workshop space with a spring fundraising party on Friday, May 31st, from 7:00 to 10:00pm. During the event, the Center will offer sandwiches from Russell St. Bar-B-Que, mini pies from Bipartisan Café, and beer from Hopworks Urban Brewery – which will be flowing out of the famous Metrofiets’ beer bike.

Tickets to the event are $10 – which not only supports the Community Cycling Center in their final push towards their spring campaign goal of $20,000, but gets you access to delicious food, tasty beer and wine, a photo booth room, a bike museum – and they’re raffling off a pair Cycle Oregon Week Ride passes.

Raffle tickets to win the pair of Cycle Oregon Week Ride passes are only $10 (the pair of tickets are valued at $1,790), and there is no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase. $10 could give you the opportunity to spend a week riding with a friend or partner in the Eastern Oregon sunshine. Note: You must be present at the event to win the raffle prize.

During the event, you’ll hear about what’s in store for the new workshop space, an update on the Center’s newest projects, and the opportunity to support their work to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits.

Funds raised during this campaign will enable the Community Cycling Center to continue and expand their work of empowering individuals and creating a healthier, safer and more equitable community – with bicycles.
