The Bike Commute Challenge is here
It’s September, and that means one thing – Bike Commute Challenge month is upon us! The Bike Commute Challenge encourages everyone in Oregon to commute by bicycle. In addition to competing in the Challenge, we are also a participating bike shop. If you are taking part in the Bike Commute Challenge, you qualify for a special discount at our bike shop.
Our neighborhood bike shop offers a wide variety of affordable new and used parts and accessories as well as a great selection of refurbished and as-is bicycles. When you log at least seven trips during the Bike Commute Challenge, print out your trip log, bring it to our shop and take 10% off new and used parts and accessories. Ride on!
As a bicycle organization, most of our staff already commutes by bike on a daily basis. During the Bike Commute Challenge, we work hard to get our commuting rate up as high as possible. In 2010, we placed first in our category with a commute rate of 92.6%. This year, we’re competing against the Bicycle Transportation Alliance to win the title of Portland’s Best Bicycle Nonprofit.
