About the Community Cycling Center

We believe that a bicycle is a tool for empowerment and a vehicle for change. The Community Cycling Center is a 501(c) 3 that broadens access to bicycling and its benefits through our hands-on programs, volunteer projects, and neighborhood shop.

General Position Summary

The Community Cycling Center operates a full-service professional bike shop. Proceeds from the shop benefit our year-round bicycle education programs for low-income youth and adults. All the bikes in our shop have been donated. Our professional mechanics refurbish them to ensure a safe and snappy ride.

We are looking for one volunteer to come in weekly to support the shop with data entry tasks. This position will help organize and maintain shop information.

Duties

• Enter data from our Bike Donation Logs
• Enter data from our Bike Sales
• Enter data from our Bike Repairs
• Complete other data entry tasks as needed

Skills

• Zen-like data entry skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel a plus
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to commit to a schedule
• Have respect for confidentiality
• Flexibility towards workspace environment in a dynamic non-profit

Reports To

Assistant Shop Manager

Pay Rate and Benefits

Pay: Volunteer
Length of commitment: 3 months
Estimated total hours: 1-2 hours per week
Schedule: Saturday; anytime between 10am and 5pm
Location: Shop offices, Community Cycling Center
