General Position Summary
The Community Cycling Center and REI collaborate every year for a Earth Day bike collection event at all their local stores. The REI outreach staff markets this event through their stores, newsletters and other opportunities. For the 2008 event, four teams from the CCC will staff the different locations, accept bikes, provide info about the organization and demonstrate the refurbishment process. We are also looking for volunteers with trucks and trailers who would be willing to transport bikes after the event.
Duties
- Accept donated bikes from customers
- Fill out appropriate donation forms for donors and the CCC
- Provide information about the CCC and our programs
- Begin cleaning, repairing or processing donated bikes
- Assist in loading and transport of bikes at the conclusion of the event
Position Details
Pay: Volunteer
Volunteers Needed: 2-3 at each location
Length of commitment: Saturday, April 26th
Estimated total hours: 4-5 hours
Location: REI stores in the Pearl, Hillsboro, Tualatin and Clackamas

Every location will have a site leader with all the materials and outreach information
