General Position Summary
Get Lit is a bike safety promotion program. We like to think of it as a random act of safety because we install Planet Bike front and rear lights for free on unsuspecting (and unlit) cyclists. We are looking for a team of volunteers to educate the public about all programs of the organization; provide basic bike safety education (light, helmet use statistics and laws); and distribute light sets to those individuals in need.
Duties
- Work with CCC staff at predetermined distribution sites
- Network with passing cyclists providing education, materials and lights as appropriate
- Complete program documentation as required
Skills
- Willingness to receive training from CCC staff on programs, bike light and helmet statistics and laws.
- Ability to represent the CCC in the community by effectively communicating the mission, vision, values, and programs of the organization.
