General Position Summary

During July and August of 2008 we will host a series of free, fun, and safe family rides. We need 4 volunteers per event to support the ride leader, children and families during the rides.

Duties

  • Assist Community Cycling Center staff during Portland area rides for groups of 20-30 individuals (adults and children) to ensure safety
  • Help riders with basic maintenance issues as they arise during rides
  • Assist with event set-up and breakdown

Skills

  • Basic bike maintenance
  • Group riding experience
  • Basic First Aid/CPR a plus
  • Experience working with children
  • Own a bike and helmet
  • Ability to ride a bicycle up to 10 miles
  • Criminal background check required

Pay: Volunteer
Length of commitment: 1 day
Estimated total hours: 5-6 hours/event
Location: Portland area (ride route)
Schedule: Sundays 10a-12p (event time)
