Worst Day of the Year Ride
The 2008 Worst Day of the Year Ride on February 10th is an easy 18-mile odyssey around downtown Portland that has quickly become a quirky annual tradition. You’ll be kept warm and comfy at every turn with tons of belly-nourishing treats including hot cocoa, doughnuts, organic fruit, DragonFly Chai tea, Nossa Familia coffee, bagels, hot cider and much more.
The finish line meal is presented by Laughing Planet Cafe, experts in wholesome yumminess, and features local, sustainable and organic soups and fresh focaccia bread.
Join hundreds of other hardy souls as they laugh at the elements and gather for a delicious finish line party at the Lucky Labrador. Want more of a challenge?
The optional 40-mile route loop traverses the west hills out to Hillsboro. The ride is capped at 2,000 riders and it will sell out, so register early.

Past Rides: Witness the Fun!
The 2007 Worst Day of the Year Ride had more than 1,500 riders, tons of fabulous costumes, and plenty of good food!
We want to thank the riders who “braved the elements” to support the Community Cycling Center and our volunteers who did such a great job that we won the Ice Monkey Award for “Best WDYR Rest Stop” for the 2nd year in a row! Proceeds benefit our programs for low-income children and adults.
