About the Position
We are seeking an individual who supports our mission, values and customer base. The individual selected to fill this position must be willing to work hard to create a professional, safe, and fun work environment. While this position requires a great deal of responsibility and experience it also offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth.
The person in this position will be responsible for the preparation of bikes for use in our programs and for sale in our retail shop. He or she may also be responsible for completing bicycle maintenance and repair for our retail customers. Extensive breadth and depth of experience in this field will be a definite advantage.
Duties:
- Take-in and process bike and cash donations
- Take-in, estimate, and schedule bike repairs
- Repair and service bikes for customers
- Answer the CCC shop phone
- Work safely and cooperatively to meet the goals set forth by shop management
General Qualifications:
- Experience working in a bike shop
- Ability to physically complete job duties
- Excellent bike mechanic related skills
- Very organized and detail oriented
- Knowledge of bicycles
- Willingness to accept guidance and feedback related to job duties
- Desire to learn and grow within the position
- Flexibility in schedule and ability to multi-task
- A commitment to the concept of environmental sustainability
- An enthusiasm for the CCC’s mission
- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- A respect for, and commitment to, diversity and teamwork
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Schedule: Weekend and evening availability required
